Who we are
Welcome to Finney & Roo—where thoughtful gifting meets sustainability, and a little creativity goes a long way.
Our Story
Finney & Roo is named after two of my three kids (Finn and Rory), and like a lot of good ideas, this one started around the kitchen table. As a mom, a maker, and someone who cares deeply about the planet, I was tired of tossing out torn paper and tangled ribbons every holiday and birthday. I wanted something better—something reusable, beautiful, and practical.
What started as a simple idea has grown into a collection of handmade gift bags and reusable tags that are designed to be used again and again. Everything is made by hand in my home, one stitch at a time, with quality, sustainability, and heart at the center.
Our Mission
At Finney & Roo, we believe that gifting should be as thoughtful as the gifts themselves. We strive to create eco-friendly, reusable products that reduce waste and offer a personalized touch. Whether it’s for birthdays, holidays, or any special occasion, our products are designed to be reused and cherished, making every gift just a little more meaningful.
What We Make
Our gift bags are reversible, washable, and built to last—no tape, no waste, no stress.
Our chalkboard-backed gift tags are made for personalization. Write a message, wipe it clean, and reuse it for the next special moment.
We believe gifting should feel good—not just for the person receiving it, but for you, too.
Our Mission
At Finney & Roo, we want to help people gift beautifully and gift sustainably.
Whether it’s a birthday, a holiday, or a simple “thinking of you,” we make it easy to wrap with less waste and more intention.
Meet the Maker
I’m Kathleen—mom, maker, and the heart behind Finney & Roo. My background is in Criminology & Criminal Justice (yep, I have a PhD!), but these days you’ll find me in my sewing space, balancing family life and fabric stacks.
I’ve always loved creating things for our home—especially the kind that are beautiful, useful, and built to last. Finney & Roo grew out of that love: a way to blend creativity with purpose, and to share a little bit of that homemade joy with others.
I’m so glad you’re here.
